Beginner math is an app that is designedtohelp teach and improve beginner to advanced skills inmathematics.It is targeted towards children, especially those whoare juststarting to learn the material. It offers mathematicalequationswhich will vary between addition, subtraction,multiplication anddivision at the user’s discretion. It also offersa wide range indifficulty settings which are all options thatthe user can choose between.This app is available for Android 4.0 and up. It works onallAndroid devices including most TabletsLayoutThe layout is a clean and simple design which allows foreasyreading and navigation. Once the app is opened, you will seethemenu screen where you will be able to choose your categoryanddifficulty settings and begin solving equations right away.Onceyou select your desired settings and click “start”, you willsee anequation appear in the top center of your screen.FunctionWhen you solve the problem, enter your answer in the openfieldand click the “check your results” option. If you correctlysolvethe answer, it will notify you and you may proceed to thenextproblem. If you answer the problem incorrectly, you will see ared“wrong” notification at which point you will be able to trytheproblem again. If you are unable to correctly solve theequation,you can select “show results” which will show you theanswer so youcan find out where you went wrong.4 Algebraic CategoriesThe app will generate equations for the four basicalgebraicmathematical operations:AdditionSubtractionMultiplicationDivisionEach set of problems will offer an unlimited amount ofrandomlygenerated equations within that category. You will be abletoswitch between each operation by returning to the menuscreen.5 Difficulty SettingsAs the user progresses in their mathematics knowledge, theywillbe able to increase the difficulty in their problems that theywillhave to solve. From the menu screen, you will be able tochoosefrom 5 different difficulty settings which range from“beginner”all the way up to “very hard”. The beginner problems aredesignedfor those that are just being introduced to the conceptswithinthat algebraic category. Once the user becomes familiar withthebasics, they may advance to the higher difficultysettings.Likewise, you may also wish to periodically revert to aneasiersetting if you find that you are having difficulty with themorechallenging problems.
